Tangyin Iron & Steel Awards Contract for Hot Strip, High-speed Bar and Wire Rod Rolling Project to Sinosteel MECC
Recently, the steel rolling relocation project, contracted by Sinosteel MECC on EPC basis, of HBIS Tangyin Iron & Steel was kicked off.

The project, signed on April 30, 2021, consists of two high-speed wire rod lines with annual productivity of 600,000 tons, a double high-speed bar line producing 1.4 million tons per year, as well as a 1450mm hot strip line with annual capacity of 2 million tons.

specification：Φ5.5mm～Φ16.0mm wire rod、Φ6.0mm～Φ16.0mm coiled reinforced bar；
maximum rolling speed：105m/s（Φ5.5mm～Φ6.5 plain round）
◆ High-speed bar
specification：Φ12.0mm~Φ25.0mm；
maximum rolling speed：40m/s;
◆ 1450mm hot strip
thickness：1.5～20.0mm；
width：700～1300mm；
coil inner diameter：Ф762mm；
coil diameter (max)：Ф1950mm；
maximum coil weight (max)：23.8t；
unit coil weight (max)：19.1kg/mm；
Technologies independently developed by Sinosteel MECC including direct rolling, hot-transferring and hot-charging, as
well as controlled rolling and cooling are applied to significantly reduce
production costs and pollution while improving product quality.
